Joanie Halfaker, CFP, CPA spends much of her time helping women who have gone through a transition – divorce or losing a spouse – to develop a financial plan aimed at providing a secure financial future. Joanie also has expertise in helping women business owners integrate their business and personal goals with their overall financial resources.
 
Joanie is a sought after speaker to local groups and organizations. She has spoken to groups such as Centre for Women, Association of Travel Executives, Baywinds Adult Education, Nova Southeastern University, Jewelers National, AARP, Tampa Bay Enrolled Agents and HRTampa.
Joanie earned her B.S. in Accounting from Florida State University in 1985 and her Certified Public Accountant designation in 1986.  She served on the board of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), for 3 years as Treasurer and Corporate Sponsorships.
 
Prior to co-founding Global Financial Partners, Ms. Halfaker was employed as the controller and chief financial officer of several publicly held companies related to the Home Shopping Network in St. Petersburg, Florida from 1988 - 1997. Prior to joining Home Shopping Network in 1988, Ms. Halfaker was employed as a senior accountant with the national accounting firm, KPMG Peat Marwick 1985 - 1988.
 
Joanie enjoys spending time with her four children and husband, and race walks whenever she can.
